- 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers (organic preferred)
- 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 5 cups of water
Step by step preparation 📝
- Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan.
- Add the dried hibiscus flowers, turn off the heat and let it steep for 20 minutes .
- Filter to remove flowers.
- Return the filtered infusion to the saucepan, add 1 cup of water and the sugar .
- Heat gently until the sugar dissolves.
- Let cool , then place in the refrigerator.
- Serve very cold , with ice cubes and possibly a lemon wedge.
